BTCme.click Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the operator of BTCme.click ("we", "us") to explain what data the BTCme.click web app and Android app (click.btcme.wallet) collect, why, and what your choices are.

1. Non-custodial by design

BTCme.click is a non-custodial Bitcoin wallet. Your seed phrase, private keys, and optional BIP39 passphrase are generated and stored only on your device. We never see, transmit, or have the ability to recover them. If you lose them, we cannot help you restore access.

2. What we collect

Account data — the email address you sign in with, and a display name/avatar if you set them. Stored in our backend database to authenticate you and enable Pro features.
Subscription & payment metadata — plan tier, paid status, Stripe customer/subscription IDs, or Bitcoin payment intent IDs. We never store full card numbers; card data is handled by Stripe.
On-chain public data — Bitcoin addresses you generate or import are sent to public blockchain services (mempool.space, Bitcoin nodes) to fetch balances, UTXOs, fee estimates, and to broadcast transactions. This information is public by nature of the Bitcoin network.
Optional profile data — if you mint a .btcme name, the name and the addresses you attach to it are published to a public directory and inscribed on-chain.
Basic logs — standard server access logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) retained for security and abuse prevention.

3. What we don't collect

We do not collect your seed phrase, private keys, or wallet passphrase.
We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
We do not run third-party advertising or tracking pixels in the app.

4. Third-party services (subprocessors)

Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
Stripe — card payments for Pro subscriptions.
mempool.space — Bitcoin blockchain data.
Your chosen NWC provider — Lightning payments (only if you connect one).
Google Play — Android app distribution.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep account and subscription data while your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time by emailing privacy@btcme.click. On-chain data (transactions, inscribed .btcme names) lives on the Bitcoin blockchain and cannot be deleted by us.

6. Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Keys and seed phrases are encrypted on-device before storage. No system is 100% secure — you are responsible for the physical and digital security of the device you use to access your wallet.

7. Children

BTCme.click is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact privacy@btcme.click to exercise those rights.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page.
